International flights

All passengers, regardless of nationality and destination, must check with their travel agent or the consulate of the country they are visiting to verify the most up-to-date entry requirements.

Passport & Visa

-Your passport must be valid for the expected duration of your stay in Mexico, even if you are a dual citizen. Permanent residents of Canada must consult Mexico's immigration agency, the Instituto Nacional de Migración (INM) (in Spanish) for specific entry requirements. (To ensure problem-free travel, we strongly recommend that ALL passengers travel with a valid passport (even for those destinations where proof of citizenship/photo identification is an acceptable alternative).

-Canadians seeking to enter Mexico as tourists do not require a visa.

Tourist card

Canadians must obtain a tourist card, called the Multiple Migratory Form for Foreigners or FMM, from their airline or immigration authorities at Mexican points of entry. To obtain a tourist card, Canadians must present a valid passport. If you do not obtain a tourist card upon arrival, your entry will be considered illegal and you may be fined, detained or expelled from the country.

Canadian tourists do not require a tourist card for stays of 72 hours or less within the northern border zone.

Ensure that immigration authorities stamp your tourist card upon arrival, regardless of your mode of transportation. If you enter Mexico by land, it is your responsibility to stop at the immigration facility located at the border. Consult the Embassy of Mexico in Canada for more information on land border entry.

Authorities can demand to see your tourist card at any time. You must carry the original at all times and surrender it when leaving Mexico or face a fine and/or expulsion.

Insurance Information:

In most cases, your travels with go without a hitch. You’ll not have to experience the nightmare of being seriously ill or injured in a foreign country. But if you do, the last thing you want is not having the support or financial means by which to get treated and flown home. For that alone, travel insurance is worth every cent and Destination Weddings by Kiki can assist you with this! Pricing is listed in your passenger contract that was sent to you by Leah & Ryan. If you need different coverage please contact us.

The Manulife Premium Protection Plan is designed for residents of Canada who:
a) are covered by a government health insurance plan for the policy duration;
b) are age 69 or younger (at the time of purchasing the policy);
c) are travelling for a maximum of 23 days inclusive of any extension (including the date you leave on your trip and including the date you return home);
d) are listed as Insured Person(s) on the confirmation of coverage (for ease of reference, these persons may also be referred to as ‘you’ or ‘your’ throughout this policy); and
e) purchased the plan within 72 hours of making a deposit or initial payment on the trip travel arrangements.

Coverage includes Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption, Travel Disruption, Emergency Medical, Baggage Loss, Damage and Delay and Travel Accident. These benefits provide coverage for Accidents, Injuries, Unexpected Illnesses And other unforeseen events that occur during the policy period unless the event or situation causing your claim is specifically excluded in the section

If you are unable to travel due to any unexpected event that occurs before the departure date stated on your confirmation of coverage, we will pay 100%, up to the covered amount as indicated on your confirmation of coverage:
A. For the prepaid unused portion of your travel arrangements that are non-refundable; and
B. For any published cancellation fees and/or amendment fees that you have incurred if you cancelled your trip, provided the cost of those fees were included in the covered amount for your trip cancellation coverage.
*Our “cancel for any reason” benefit:
• If you use the Cancel for Any Reason Benefit– 75% of Non-refundable amounts 7 days or more prior to departure, 75% of Non-refundable amounts capped at $1500, 6 days to 24 hours prior to departure.
Baggage & personal belongings
Any insurer expects you to take ‘reasonable care’ of your belongings which means a claim may be denied if you leave your camera in a shared room in a hostel or in your car overnight (unsupervised in a public place) and it’s stolen. You must file a police report as soon you notice money or your personal belonging(s) has been stolen otherwise your claim will be denied.
*Not all travel insurance is the same.
All travel insurance policies have specific benefits and exclusions so it’s common sense, imperative, and absolutely necessary to take the time to read the policy wording carefully. These vary depending on which country you are from, so please take the time and always contact us if you are unsure about anything

Please visit https://www.igoinsured.com/TravelWeb/auth/tmc/forms/policyppp.pdf for the full policy details.
